Analysis: He finished his season with a 3.40 ERA, good for ninth in the AL. A soon-to-be free agent, it could have been the native Texan's final game with the Rangers. ''It felt great, it was kind of one of those moments where you soak it in and try and go out there and do the best you can,'' he said.

Analysis: Cashner had gone 5-1 with a 2.61 ERA in his previous nine starts and had walked a combined four batters over the past four before struggling with control Thursday. The good news is that Cashner thinks he knows what the problem was and that he can adjust. ''Going back and watching video after the game, my hips were flying open and I was flying open with my front side," he said. "Small adjustment to fix.''

Cashner struck out four, ending the game with a 3.48 ERA and 1.37 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: If the Rangers do decide to become sellers at the upcoming deadline, Cashner could draw some interest with the way he's pitched this month. The right-hander is 3-1 with a 2.36 ERA over his four July starts while holding opposing hitters to a .194 average.

Cashner struck out four, ending the game with a 3.54 ERA and 1.43 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Cashner has an incredibly low 4.43 strikeouts per nine innings, so even though his ERA looks decent now, it's hard to believe that will continue.
June 29 11:37 AM PT12:37 PM MT1:37 PM CT2:37 PM ET14:37 ET18:37 GMT2:37 11:37 AM MST1:37 PM EST2:07 PM VEN22:37 UAE1:37 PM CT-Cashner was struck on the right elbow by a broken bat Thursday against the Indians. Cashner was hit when Edwin Encarnacion broke his bat hitting an RBI single in the sixth inning. Cashner didn't appear to see the bat, which hit him directly on the elbow.
Analysis: Cashner went down on his knees behind the mound and held the elbow as manager Jeff Banister and a team trainer came out. He threw a warmup pitch and remained in the game. Jose Ramirez followed with a single. Cashner, making his first start since June 14 after being on the disabled list with a strained left oblique, was then removed. Cashner threw 81 pitches and was nearing the pitch limit Banister set before the game. He allowed five runs in five-plus innings.

Analysis: The right-hander had been sidelined since June 14 by a strained oblique. Cashner is 3-6 with a 3.50 ERA in 12 starts.
June 15 9:00 AM PT10:00 AM MT11:00 AM CT12:00 PM ET12:00 ET16:00 GMT0:00 9:00 AM MST11:00 AM EST11:30 AM VEN20:00 UAE11:00 AM CT-Andrew Cashner fell to 3-6, allowing four runs on 10 hits and one walk in 4.0 innings, as the Texas Rangers lost to the Houston Astros 13-2 on Wednesday. Cashner struck out four, ending the game with a 3.50 ERA and 1.47 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: After recording a 2.45 ERA in his seven starts, Cashner has alternated good and bad performances in his last five. He has an 8.40 ERA, 2.20 WHIP and .391 opponents' batting average in losing three and a 1.29 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and .229 opponents' average in winning the other two. He makes his next start Tuesday against the Blue Jays, and Cashner was solid in Toronto four starts ago, allowing a run and five hits in seven innings of a 3-1 victory.

Cashner struck out two, ending the game with a 3.39 ERA and 1.42 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Cashner matched his career high in hits allowed. "I thought I got the results I wanted," Cashner said. "I just didn't get the end result. For me, I'm not really too down. It's just keep making pitches, and I was one pitch away the whole inning from getting out if it and it just didn't happen to go that way." After a real nice stretch, Cashner has been pounded in two of his last three starts.

Cashner struck out two, ending the game with a 2.92 ERA and 1.36 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Cashner has been excellent this season based on his ERA, though his FIP suggests that there's some regression in order. So does his strikeout (23) to walk (27) ratio.
May 23 7:44 PM PT8:44 PM MT9:44 PM CT10:44 PM ET22:44 ET2:44 GMT10:44 7:44 PM MST9:44 PM EST10:14 PM VEN6:44 UAE (+1)9:44 PM CT-Andrew Cashner fell to 1-4, allowing five runs on six hits and four walks in 5.0 innings, as the Texas Rangers lost to the Boston Red Sox 11-6 on Tuesday. Cashner struck out two, ending the game with a 3.18 ERA and 1.41 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Cashner had come into the game on a good roll, having posted a 1.89 ERA over a string of three consecutive quality starts. He's also probably been a little bit lucky, as he's recorded more walks (25) than strikeouts (21) in 45 1/3 innings this season.
May 18 8:37 AM PT9:37 AM MT10:37 AM CT11:37 AM ET11:37 ET15:37 GMT23:37 8:37 AM MST10:37 AM EST11:07 AM VEN19:37 UAE10:37 AM CT-Andrew Cashner improved to 1-3, allowing two runs on eight hits and one walk in 7.0 innings, as the Texas Rangers defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 9-3 on Wednesday. Cashner struck out two, ending the game with a 2.45 ERA and 1.34 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: The Rangers turned four double plays in the first five innings behind Cashner, who had gone winless in three previous home starts for Texas and seven appearances as an opponent in Houston over his eight-year career.
May 12 8:21 PM PT9:21 PM MT10:21 PM CT11:21 PM ET23:21 ET3:21 GMT11:21 8:21 PM MST10:21 PM EST10:51 PM VEN7:21 UAE (+1)10:21 PM CT-Andrew Cashner allowed one run on five hits and one walk in 6.0 innings as the Texas Rangers defeated the Oakland Athletics 5-2 on Friday. Cashner struck out two, ending the game with a 2.43 ERA and 1.35 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Cashner continues to pitch well without being rewarded for it, as he remains winless through six starts while receiving only six runs of support. The right-hander does draw a potentially profitable matchup when the Phillies visit Arlington on Thursday.
May 8 9:36 AM PT10:36 AM MT11:36 AM CT12:36 PM ET12:36 ET16:36 GMT0:36 9:36 AM MST11:36 AM EST12:06 PM VEN20:36 UAE11:36 AM CT-Andrew Cashner allowed one run on four hits and three walks in 6.0 innings as the Texas Rangers lost to the Seattle Mariners 4-3 on Sunday. Cashner struck out five, ending the game with a 2.63 ERA and 1.43 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: The right-hander has gone 17 consecutive road starts without a win. During that stretch, he is 0-8 with a 6.78 ERA in 77 innings.
May 2 8:15 AM PT9:15 AM MT10:15 AM CT11:15 AM ET11:15 ET15:15 GMT23:15 8:15 AM MST10:15 AM EST10:45 AM VEN19:15 UAE10:15 AM CT-Andrew Cashner fell to 0-3, allowing three runs - two earned - on three hits and three walks in 6.0 innings, as the Texas Rangers lost to the Houston Astros 6-2 on Monday. Cashner struck out two, ending the game with a 2.95 ERA and 1.50 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: The right-hander was again victimized by a Texas offense that's mustered a mere two runs with him on the mound during his four starts. After allowing three earned runs over 5 1/3 innings in his season debut against Seattle - the team he'll face Sunday - Cashner has posted a solid 2.25 ERA over his last three outings.

Analysis: Cashner has walked 13 and fanned eight in 15 1/3 innings while going 0-2 in his three starts. It hasn't helped that the Rangers have yet to score a run while he's been on the mound.
Apr. 21 9:00 AM PT10:00 AM MT11:00 AM CT12:00 PM ET12:00 ET16:00 GMT0:00 9:00 AM MST11:00 AM EST11:30 AM VEN20:00 UAE11:00 AM CT-Cashner held the Royals to three hits over six scoreless innings while not receiving a decision in Thursday's start.
Analysis: The right-hander exited with the game still scoreless and did issue four walks, though his performance was still a nice upgrade from last weekend's season debut in which he allowed three earned runs in 5 1/3 innings in a loss at Seattle. Cashner will have some momentum heading into Tuesday's meeting with visiting Minnesota.
Apr. 16 8:20 AM PT9:20 AM MT10:20 AM CT11:20 AM ET11:20 ET15:20 GMT23:20 8:20 AM MST10:20 AM EST10:50 AM VEN19:20 UAE10:20 AM CT-Cashner gave up four runs in 5 1/3 innings in his season debut, a 5-0 loss to the Mariners on Saturday.
Analysis: He only struck out two and walked three, so the Rangers are hoping for more from Cashner as he gets more acclimated to the rotation.
Mar. 9 8:39 AM PT9:39 AM MT10:39 AM CT11:39 AM ET11:39 ET16:39 GMT0:39 9:39 AM MST11:39 AM EST12:09 PM VEN20:39 UAE10:39 AM CT-Cashner will make his season debut Saturday at Seattle.
Analysis: The offseason addition missed a good deal of the spring with biceps soreness, but was declared good to go after throwing 76 pitches Monday in an extended spring training game. Cashner gets a favorable spot for his Rangers debut, as the Mariners have been struggling at the plate.
