Analysis: Ken Giles may have been the main culprit as Houston's bullpen collapsed in Game 4, but Devenski had a hand in the tough loss as well. The right-hander was terrific during the regular season, but he's now surrendered four runs in three innings over his five playoff appearances.
10/18/2017 Aroldis Chapman, NYY, P

Analysis: After giving up the winning run in the ninth inning in Saturday's Game 2 loss, Chapman bounced back by retiring the Astros in order on just 10 pitches. The Yankees' hard-throwing closer has now fanned 16 while yielding just one run through eight innings during this postseason.

Analysis: Giles came on to protect a 4-2 lead in the eighth and simply imploded, surrendering three straight hits after getting a run-scoring groundout as the Yankees surged ahead to stay. Analysis: Making his first start in 12 days, Gray was far more effective than his brief and losing outing against the Indians in Game 1 of the ALDS. The in-season acquisition departed this one with two on and the game still scoreless, with both runners later crossing the plate. The next few days will determine whether this is his final appearance of the year, though he'll factor greatly in the Yankees' plans for 2018.
